I hold an MSc in Plant Breeding and Genetic Resources from Wageningen University & Research, where my thesis focused on metabolomics. In this work, I explored the metabolic profiles of wild pepper accessions and identified fruit quality candidate genes in a Capsicum annuum RIL population. Moreover, during my internship at Fresh Forward, I investigated parental contributions and developed marker-based prediction models for firmness and fruit size in a low-chill strawberry population (Fragaria x ananassa). Complementing my expertise, I also hold an Integrated MSc in Agricultural Economics and Development from the Agricultural University of Athens. As part of the NatGenCrop project, I aim to develop computational workflows combining GWAS, metabolomics and transcriptomics data, applying statistical and machine learning methods to discover genetic and metabolic drivers that influence stress tolerance and fruit quality.
