Mihail Angelov Research

His early work was focused on the identification of virus resistance genes in a breeding collection and the use of genetic markers for DUS testing in tomatoes. As an intern at WPUT (Szczecin, Poland) he worked on mapping of QTL loci and identification of novel dwarfing genes in rye, and took part in a GBS sequencing project.

His current role is to support the researchers in the Molecular Stress department in the elucidation of the molecular mechanisms in plant response to abiotic stress.
